Inner Loop Living

I’m Mackenzie Blair and welcome to “Inner Loop Living”! As a Houston real estate agent specializing in apartments and properties inside the loop, I get a lot of questions. Questions about the process of renting an apartment, buying a home, the market, the best neighborhoods, where to blow off the work week on a Friday night and where to get the best Tex-Mex cuisine. You’ll find answers to your questions about living large in Houston, Texas right here at this blog from a gal who fell in love with this city at first sight.
I was working in property management in Dallas after college when I got the opportunity to work for the owner of Apartment Sneak Peeks, now Home Base Services. I jumped at the chance because I wanted to be close to my family in Houston. I got the job, took one look at Houston, and I was hooked.
I also found my strength in real estate. I have a passion for helping people find the perfect home, whether it’s a high rise apartment or a single family home. It doesn’t even feel like work to me! And no, I’m not making that up.
You might be thinking, “Yeah, right. What’s to love about Houston? Humidity? Traffic? Apocalyptic heat?” But this city has so much to offer I almost don’t know where to start. There are hidden gems stashed everywhere. You just have to know where to look. Museums, art, music, food, community, culture, jobs: Houston has it all right at your finger tips.
So check back often for real estate industry tips, updates, news and information as well as ideas and clues about one of the nation’s most diverse cities. Ready to dive in to Houston culture right away? Do NOT miss the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, March 2-22, 2010. Food, art, shopping, rides, old fashioned rodeo, and the biggest names in country music. Buy your tickets before they’re gone!
